Operating Instructions
1. Extending & Retracting the Refill (Bolt-Action Mechanism)
The side of the pen features a knurled push button with a bolt-action mechanism (non-threaded). Press and push the button forward to extend and lock the refill. Press again and pull it back to retract. All operations can be done with one hand.
2. Replacing the Refill
Ensure the refill is retracted. Unscrew the tip (front cone assembly), remove the old refill from the tip end, insert the new refill with the spring in the correct orientation, then screw the tip back on. Compatible with standard European G2 refills. Comes with a Schneider G2 refill.
3. Rear Fidget Spinner
The rear spinner incorporates a ceramic bearing. Hold the pen body and gently flick the spinner to rotate.
4. Strike Bezel (Ceramic Bead / Tungsten Cone, Replaceable)
The strike bezel is threaded and interchangeable. Standard configuration is a ceramic bead; some versions include a tungsten cone replacement. Both share the same base — unscrew the existing bezel and replace it with the other. For use, grip the middle of the pen and strike vertically against the corner of the target.
5. Emergency Pry Bar
The front section of the pen can serve as a light-duty pry tool for leverage or picking. Apply force along the axis of the pen; avoid lateral bending.
6. Tritium Vial Slots (DIY Optional)
The pen body features 16 slots for tritium vials (not included). Installation must comply with applicable laws and regulations in your country or region.
Maintenance & Care
-
Titanium Body (TC4, Fine Sandblasted Finish)
Wipe clean with a soft dry cloth. For oil stains, use a slightly damp soft cloth and dry afterward. Do not use abrasive cleaners or steel wool, as they may damage the sandblasted texture.
-
Phosphor Bronze Components
Despite passivation treatment, phosphor bronze reacts with oxygen in the air to form an oxide layer, turning dark brown — this may spread gradually. This is a natural characteristic of the material and does not affect functionality.
-
Bolt-Action Mechanism & Ceramic Bearing
Keep sand, paper dust, and debris away from the push button and rear spinner bearing. If movement becomes rough or sluggish, clean out foreign matter first. Do not apply ordinary lubricants or water, as they may attract dust or affect feel.
The rear spinner uses a ceramic bearing — smooth but brittle. Dropping, impact, or striking may cause breakage. Handle with care.
The ceramic bearing is user-replaceable. Dimensions: inner diameter 4mm, outer diameter 7mm, height 2mm.
-
Pocket Clip
The clip has a scratch-resistant finish. Avoid repeatedly bending it at wide angles.
Safety Warnings
⚠️The ceramic strike bezel and front section of the pen are hard and have sharp edges. Exercise caution during daily carry, handling, and writing to avoid injury to yourself or others.
⚠️ Emergency uses such as glass breaking or self-defense must comply with local laws and regulations. Titaner assumes no responsibility for illegal or improper use.
⚠️ This product is an emergency tool and is not a substitute for professional pry bars or rescue equipment. Do not use for long-lever prying, metal striking, or tasks beyond its intended strength.
⚠️ Do not disassemble the bolt-action mechanism, ceramic bearing, or other precision components.
⚠️ Keep out of reach of children.
Lifetime Warranty
The TC4 titanium body structure of this product is covered by a lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use conditions.
The following are not covered:
-
Refills are consumables and are not covered.
-
Normal wear of the ceramic bead under standard emergency use is warrantied. Abnormal spinner behavior caused by repeated striking, destructive testing, or use beyond intended design is not covered.
-
Deformation of the pen body, bolt-action failure, or ceramic bearing damage resulting from excessive prying, impact, or drops beyond design limits.
-
Oxidation discoloration of phosphor bronze components is a natural material property and is not considered a defect.
-
Damage caused by user-installed tritium vials or modifications.
-
Minor scratches from normal use that do not affect functionality.
