Operating Instructions

The buckle comes pre-assembled with the strap at the factory. To deliver a perfectly tailored fit for your body, the leather strap features no pre-punched holes—you’ll complete the final customization yourself.

Inside the package, you’ll find a dedicated hole punch and alignment guide stickers. Follow these steps:

Step 1. Measure & Mark
Try on the belt and mark the spot on the strap that aligns with your most comfortable waist size.

Step 2. Apply Guide Sticker
Peel and place the included hole-punch alignment sticker flat over your marked spot. This provides precise visual guidance for punching.

Step 3. Prepare Work Surface
Find a flat, sturdy surface. Lay the belt flat.
💡 Pro Tip: Place a scrap piece of wood or thick cardboard underneath the belt to protect your table from puncture damage and preserve the sharpness of the punch blade.

Step 4. Punch the Hole
Position the tip of the specialized hole punch vertically over the center of the guide sticker. Using a rubber mallet or household hammer, strike the top of the punch firmly and straight down until a clean hole is formed. Remove the sticker—and your custom-fit belt is ready to wear.
💡 Pro Tip: Remove the guide sticker promptly after punching. If slight adhesive residue remains due to prolonged adhesion, do NOT use alcohol, menthol oil, or chemical solvents—they will irreversibly bleach and damage the vegetable-tanned leather.
Instead, gently rub the residue with your clean fingertip or use a soft eraser, stroking in one direction only. For best results, follow up with a light application of leather conditioner to restore luster.

Maintenance & Care

TC4/GR5 Titanium:
Renowned for its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio and corrosion resistance, titanium is extremely difficult to bend or break. However, while its yield strength is high, its surface hardness isn’t absolute.
Avoid direct scraping against sand, sharp keys, knives, or other hard objects to preserve the original brushed or blasted finish. For fingerprints or dust, simply wipe gently with a soft microfiber cloth to restore shine.

Precision-Set Ruby:
With a Mohs hardness second only to diamond, the ruby is highly scratch-resistant in daily wear. However, gemstones are inherently brittle—do not use an ultrasonic cleaner, as it may disrupt the internal stress of the press-fit setting.

Vegetable-Tanned Leather Strap (Patina Guide):
This leather retains the raw pores and natural grain of full-grain cowhide. Its greatest charm lies in how it evolves: over time, it absorbs skin oils and sunlight, gradually darkening and developing a rich patina unique to you.

• Water & Moisture: Highly sensitive to water. Avoid rain or prolonged soaking. If wet, blot dry with a cloth and air-dry in a cool, ventilated area—never sun-dry or use a hairdryer.
• Conditioning: Every few months, apply a thin layer of premium mink oil or leather balm to maintain suppleness and prevent cracking.

Safety Warnings

• Impact & Drops: While titanium is nearly indestructible, the press-fit ruby may crack or dislodge under extreme point-impact or high falls onto hard surfaces. Do not use the buckle as a striking tool.
• Extreme Environments: Avoid prolonged exposure to strong acids, alkalis, or extreme heat, which can damage titanium finishes or degrade leather.
• Color Transfer Risk: Natural or light-colored vegetable-tanned leather may temporarily transfer or absorb dye from dark fabrics (e.g., raw denim) during early use—this is normal. Exercise caution during initial wear.

Lifetime Warranty

Warranty Exclusions:
The following are not covered under the lifetime warranty:

1. Leather as a consumable: Natural creasing, patina, scratches, wear, or cracks caused by improper care.
2. Intentional misuse: Damage from unauthorized modification, extreme abuse (e.g., vehicle run-over, sledgehammer strikes).
3. Normal surface wear: Scratches, dents, or polished spots from everyday use—these are marks of a well-loved tool, not defects.
