Ever watched Seinfeld? You probably remember George Costanza’s infamous wallet—that overstuffed, brick-like monstrosity filled with old receipts. It didn't just look ridiculous; it literally wrecked his spine.
Fast forward to 2026: that "pocket tumor" is no longer just a physical burden—it carries hidden dangers that aren't as easy to spot as a bulging back pocket.

On a spectrum invisible to the eye, leather and fabric offer zero resistance to radio signals—they might as well not exist. With skimming devices lurking nearby, your cards are effectively "transparent" while sitting inside your pocket.
The solution to this vulnerability lies in a fundamental physical principle: the Faraday Cage.
What is a Faraday Cage?
It starts with electric charges. RFID/NFC works when a reader emits an electromagnetic field. Your card’s antenna picks this up, generates a current, and "broadcasts" your data. No battery needed—the card runs on the reader’s energy.
A Faraday cage interrupts this induction. When an external field hits a closed metal conductor, free electrons redistribute to create an opposing electric field. These two fields cancel each other out, leaving the interior field strength at zero. This is "electrostatic shielding"—your card's antenna stays "silent" because the signal never reaches it.

This requires only a continuously conductive shell—no chips or power needed. Faraday proved this in 1836 with a foil-lined room, and the physics remains unchanged today.
The secret is "continuity." Effectiveness isn't just about having metal; it’s about forming a complete electrical closed-loop. Gaps create breakpoints in the opposing field where signals leak through. This is why many "metal" wallets fail: if the lining is just a thin coating or spliced plates, it's riddled with more leaks than you’d imagine.

You can test this yourself: wrap your card in aluminum foil or toss it in a metal box. It works—instantly killing any RFID signal.
Simple, effective. But is there a more sophisticated way?
To achieve that refined protection, we chose Grade 5 Titanium (Ti-6Al-4V). This aerospace-grade material offers superior strength while being 45% lighter than steel.
We precision-CNC machine each piece from a solid block of titanium, holding tolerances to 0.01mm. This isn’t just for show: since shielding depends on a continuous closed loop, any assembly gap is a potential signal leak. Only this level of precision ensures there are no weak points in the structure.
The trade-off is real: Titanium’s low machinability means significantly longer production cycles compared to standard metals. This is a cost in both time and resources that we refuse to compromise on.
This technical foundation gives us the freedom to be bold with our design. After balancing carrying capacity with ergonomics, we settled on a 10mm thickness. Paired with CNC-machined rounded corners, it fits seamlessly into dress slacks or denim—low-profile, comfortable, and zero "pocket poke."

The tactile response of the 360° flip hinge is a direct result of our machining precision.
For the magnetic closure, we engineered precise limiting slots to keep the magnets safely isolated from your card’s magnetic stripe. This prevents degaussing—a critical detail that most magnetic wallets overlook.
In those final few millimeters, there’s no need to force alignment; the magnetic pull guides the shell into place. It’s reminiscent of the "soft-close" feature on luxury car doors—not a harsh metal-on-metal clank, but a dampened, active snap into position.
But we didn't stop there. We obsessed over every millimeter of internal space: a 5-card capacity plus a dedicated "emergency zone.
This workspace isn’t a list of forced features; it’s reverse-engineered from "what if" scenarios. The SD/TF card slots handle unexpected on-site data transfers, while the 440C stainless steel multi-tool and spare No. 11 scalpel blade are the essential baseline for daily tasks like unboxing or minor repairs.
Of course, if you have a different setup in mind, we leave the EVA foam section entirely in your hands. You can curate your own signature loadout to suit your specific needs.
The top-right SIM eject tool pulls double duty: it stays discreetly integrated until needed, doubling as a versatile attachment point for an AirTag or your keys.
Beyond mere storage—this is Titaner.
Built for Life
We reject planned obsolescence. Grade 5 Titanium won’t rust or fatigue. It leaves our factory 99% complete—the final 1% is the patina of your life.
Imagine 50 years later: no batteries, no dead software. Just a flick of the finger, and that 360° hinge still glides like day one.
If you value tight tolerances and the security of physical protection, explore the logic behind Titaner’s designs.
