Operating Instructions

1. Cartridge Installation
Unscrew the grip section (front assembly with nib) from the barrel counterclockwise. Insert the included Schneider cartridge with its narrower end aligned to the ink inlet at the rear of the grip section. Push vertically along the axis until the seal is pierced and fully seated. Reattach the barrel and tighten securely.
Note: For shipping safety, the cartridge is stored inside the barrel uninstalled. Assemble per steps above before first use.

2. Converter Use (Optional)
Compatible with Schmidt K2 converter (not included; sold separately). Remove cartridge, install converter, and screw fully inward. Submerge nib completely in ink, then rotate piston counterclockwise to draw ink. Rotate back, wipe excess ink from nib.

3. Ink Flow & Writing
After initial use or ink change, hold nib downward briefly to prime the ink delivery system. If ink flow is hesitant, lightly stroke on paper to initiate flow.
Equipped with German-made BOCK F nib: Position nib face (engraved side) upward. Maintain a 40°–55° writing angle. Let pen weight guide ink flow—no pressure required.

4. Cap & Storage
Cap features a screw-on design. During writing, cap may be posted securely on the rear. When not in use, screw cap on tightly. For long-term storage, empty ink and place in included case.

Maintenance & Care

Titanium Barrel & Cap (TC4 Alloy)
Wipe with soft dry cloth. For fingerprints/oil: use slightly damp soft cloth, then dry immediately. Avoid strong acids, alkalis, or abrasive cleaners. PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) buffer inside cap mouth ensures smooth posting—do not insert hard objects or apply lateral force.

Ink System & BOCK Nib
Before changing ink colors or long-term storage: Rinse grip section repeatedly in clean/lukewarm water until runoff is clear. Air-dry naturally before storage.
⚠️ Do not: use hot water, corrosive cleaners, ultrasonic cleaners; forcibly wipe, press, or bend the iridium tipping—risk of tine splitting or deformation.

Tungsten Carbide Strike Tip
Tip hardness: ~HRA90 (Rockwell scale). For emergency window breaking: strike perpendicularly to glass surface. Lateral impact may cause chipping. Keep clean and dry; avoid striking hard surfaces during daily use.

Clip
Ceramic bead embedded to reduce fabric snagging. Avoid repeated wide-angle bending to preserve grip strength and bead integrity.

Hand-Engraved Edition
Each piece features unique artisan details. Avoid impacts, scratches, or chemical exposure. Clean gently with dry soft cloth only.

Safety Warnings

⚠️ Tungsten carbide strike tip is sharp and rigid—designed solely for emergency use. Handle with care during carry, use, or storage to prevent injury.
⚠️ Emergency functions (window breaking, self-defense) must comply strictly with local laws. Titaner assumes no liability for misuse or illegal application.
⚠️ Ink is non-edible. Keep product and cartridges away from children. Seek immediate medical attention if ink contacts eyes or is ingested.
⚠️ Do not disassemble nib, strike tip, or other precision/integrated components.
⚠️ Laser-engraved customization is final. Terms for personalized items follow the custom service agreement.

Lifetime Warranty

Titaner provides a lifetime warranty on the titanium barrel and cap body against material and manufacturing defects under normal use.

Exclusions:

  1. Schneider cartridges (consumables).
  2. BOCK nib damage from drops, excessive pressure, or improper handling (defects in material/workmanship remain covered).
  3. Tungsten carbide tip chipping/cracking from misuse beyond design intent (e.g., prying, lateral impact).
  4. Natural wear of decorative elements (engraving, meteorite inlay, gold accents).
  5. Cosmetic changes not affecting function (oxidation, fine scratches).
